We are heading up in the Big Horn mountains to camp for a few days. We usually stay in town during the 4th of July...barbecue & watch the fireworks. This year we decided to do something different. I reserved a camp site at the same campground that we thoroughly enjoyed last summer. 8300 feet elevation, a beautiful lake, fishing, swimming, and the smells...oh the smells...like sweet pine perfume you could never capture in a bottle! The kids are really excited, which surprises me, as there will be no fireworks up there. However, I did get a few fun glow in the dark gadgets for them to play around with when it gets dark! Bill & my 13th wedding anniversary is Saturday night, so I bought food to make a special dinner that night. Here's a picture from last year at the same campsite. Have a wonderful & safe Independence Day everyone!
Hello Few Peeps that read my blog...I love you and miss you lots. Last Wednesday I started Sunrise University which lasted until Sunday, with classes generally going from nine to five. Whew! I've been busy as a bee ever since, while still putting God first, making sure that I do my devo time everyday and making it to church. Any down time is for praying or sleeping. Sunday was my first day working. I have fallen in love with every Resident I've worked with so far. I haven't had a bad day yet!!!! I know that the more tired I am, the more I've accomplished. It seems strange not to have any worries or anything to be sad about- but I'm definately not complaining. I am totally over Erik..It's amazing and mind blowing, and it's all because of Jesus. :-)
We were preparing for our students' recital when I learned that I was pregnant with Pablo in 2004. I had promised my favorite student, Andee, that I would pen a song for her to sing at the said recital. Instead of writing the lyrics, I felt the Spirit leading me to add music to a verse in Psalm 86. This verse reflects my heart for my son as he grows up.
This song has been my lullaby for Pablo when I put him to sleep or set him up for his naps. I usually have my hand on one of his feet which he has gotten used to. Andee was then 6 years old when we recorded it. (I have yet to find a way to upload the Audio -- I'm having a hard time with my copy).
that I may walk in Your truth
give me an undivided heart
that I may fear Your Name
I will praise You Oh Lord my God
with all my heart
I will glorify Your Name forever
We called animal control to see if anyone had reported a missing bird. They took our number in case someone called, but no one has. We placed an ad in the paper and no one has called. We've checked the bulletin boards around town and no notice. So it's looking like we may have adopted a cockatiel! He's the funniest bird! He whistles some kind of tune that we can't figure out yet. He's heard Bill whistle for the puppies and now he whistles that tune. I've been calling him pretty bird. Today Bill decided to let him out of the cage. He flew from shoulder to shoulder, landed on top of Taylor's head and said "Hello" & "Pretty Bird". The only thing is that he has a very sharp beak and when he bites....well, it hurts! So, I guess we need to do some research on behavior modification!
If you could do anything you want tomorrow, what would it be?

go to heaven!
I was just wondering what people are doing? We are contemplating races,Brent has to work at least a good part of the day unfortunately. I would love to barbeque, except, oh yeah, we don't have one. Last year I went with Brent's dad to the jaycees parade in Everett, I'm thinking that would be fun again. A friend, Natasha might go too. Looking for idea's....
If you could do anything you wanted tomorow, what would it be?
My first thought was pile up all of our kids, and a bunch of friends and go to disneyland!! I think everyone should go. I havent personally been (yet) but it is a desire of my heart to see Meadow and Ocean and Grace and Olivia's faces appreciate the " Magic Kingdom".
As someone who is domestically challenged, (don't laugh, it's true) I don't know how to cook, very much, anyway. The whole Foods website has a ton of recipes, www.wholefoods.com
They also have a bunch of recipes to feed a family of 4 for 15$. They include nutrition facts too, so it makes easy for us with all of the carb counting. I like healthy foods, and it is a gift to my family to feed the family nutritiously.
I'm lovin'...
~ How happy my mom is to have 2 new trees planted in her yard.
~ Mom's beautiful roses ~ Our garden is really growing! carrots, onions, cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peppers & tomatoes corn, pumpkin, cucumber, canteloupe & grapes raspberry batch Not lovin... How sore I am from planting 2 trees & weeding the garden!
So today I spent time with the Lord, and what he had to say to me today was, Be more like a child in your faith and trust me like your Kids trust you. My kids trust us to feed them to clothe them to put a roof over there head ....And he says "I'm the parent, and you are the child, Now trust in me" :)
